Oh the Tantrums!

Cole threw a HUGE tantrum today because he couldn't have a fruit snack (I ran out last night.) He was on the floor kicking and screaming! Yeah, he is kind of at that age!

An Apple a Day...

I was on my computer and I heard Cole saying "Apple" in the kitchen. I looked over and he had grabbed an apple off the counter and was eating it. This is the first time that he has eaten an apple without having it cut up first. He loved it. He ended up eating all of the skin off before deciding he was done with it and setting it on the dining room chair for later! LOL!

Happy Birthday Erin!

Today was my little sister's birthday and so I thought I'd post some photos of her and Cole today. Cole has always loved Erin, he gets so excited to see her and would always stop crying when she was holding him. She was at his birth and was one of the first four people to hold him. When we were living in Kennewick, she use to come over to our house almost everyday to hang out with me and have lunch, but mostly to see Cole! lol!

Nick - The Next Food Network Star!

We were watching the Food Network (which we often do when nothing is on) and Nick felt inspired to cook a fancy dinner while watching the show "Chopped". He spent the rest of the day planning, shopping and cooking his masterpiece! All I had to do was sit on the couch and entertain Cole! The meal was delicious! Like seriously, soooo good and I'm a picky eater!!

He started with an appetizer of "Toasted Bread with Asiago Cheese". He made "Frozen Strawberry Lemonade" to drink and served "Grilled Chicken Teriyaki w/ Grilled Pineapple" He even made the Teriyaki sauce from SCRATCH!!!

For dessert he made, "Molten Chocolate Lava Cake" from scratch!!

Like I said, it was completely delicious!!

The Hiding Game

Cole is starting to get to the age where he thinks that if he can't see you, you can't see him. He is always running to the corner and covering his eyes or tunneling himself underneath a bunch of pillows...

My New Phone!

So, today the Fedex man (er.. lady) brought me my brand new white iPhone 3Gs!! I am sooo excited! The funny this is that Nick is probably more excited than I am! He has been bugging me to get an iPhone for a couple months!

I downloaded a couple of fun apps for Cole to play with. He loves them!! The only problem is that now he cries when I take my phone away from him.

Learning Shapes

Cole found this toy up in his bedroom today and brought it down. I had put it away a couple of months ago because he didn't quite get it and I kept stepping on all of the pieces. He is now old enough to understand the concept and even do it himself every once and awhile. Most of the time he still needs a little help figuring out which hole each of the shapes fits into, we've even caught him opening the lid and put one of them in that way when he can't figure it out. lol!

Happy Fathers Day!

Yesterday, we took Cole to the Nike outlet and of course, he noticed all of the cool basketballs and soccer balls and so we went ahead and bought him a mini basketball and a mini soccer ball. They are soooo cute!! He loves them!

We stop for lunch at Red Robin today while out shopping. Cole loves Red Robin. Everytime we go he gets a balloon tied to his highchair to play with and he eats LOTS and LOTS of fries!

Bedtime Stories

Cole loves his bedtime stories and one of his favorites is "Where the Wild Things Are" He loves to point at all of the different pictures and words that he knows, "Dog" "Boy" "Trees" "Fork" "Boat" "Water" and "MONSTER". (He then roars at the picture of the monsters.) Needless to say, it can take awhile to read him the whole book with all of the interruptions!
